What do you carry, and how?

I was curious if others bring their incontinence supplies with them? How do you typically do it, (backpack, purse)? What incontinence related things do you bring?

I have a sling bag currently that I use when going away from home. I typically carry hand sanitizer, wipes, toilet seat covers, extra incontinence pads, and pullups.

Very sensible post and a very good tip.

I carry a suitcase with spare leg bags, external catheters and enough intermittent catheters needed for the day.i also carry my Radar key to access disabled or accessible toilets so I can change and catheterise in.

4 weeks since surgery and back to work in 2 weeks.100% incontinent. Plan on bringing a backpack with supplies, mostly depends and disposal bags.

I use Depends plus liners and, since I sit a lot, only need to change every 3-4 hours, sometimes only replacing the liner. I bought a really nice Buffalo leather bag to carry about 3 changes (3 diapers and 3 liners). It also carries my laptop, sunglasses, reading glasses, a pack of portable wipes, and several gallon-size baggies. I've flown several times for 6+ hours, and have successfully changed the liners twice in the incredibly confined airplane restrooms. This bag has become a trademark for me with my fellow musicians. It's my "gig" bag.

@laalaauk We don’t have such a thing as a Radar key in the US. Anyone can use the disabled bathroom stalls.

I keep 2 boosters, 2 diapers, wipes, and disposable bags in a backpack. I prefer backpacks with 2 main compartments so i can keep them seperate from my other items. Sadly my school when I was younger required transparent backpacks so that was fun 🙄

I'm 71 and don't travel too far from home so these are the essentials that have worked for me....a urinal (after sitting I often have to go as soon as I get out of the car), extra pads along with Clorox wipes and paper towels.

Martoli: Transparent backpacks?!? Hell, I call that child abuse! I don't even want to know what the bullies said/did. I'm sure the school had an excuse. And: We know what Florence Nightingale said about excuses.
I'll have to look for a backpack with 2 main compartments. Thanks for the tip.
It may be late, but you have my sympathy for a school with no empathy or common sense.
Stay safe.

I just bought this new messenger bag. It has a pocket for my MacBook, a pocket for a couple diapers and wipes, a pocket for a water bottle and little pockets for my organizer and such. I’m kind of obsessed with bags and am always looking for the perfect one. I’m hoping this is it. It’s even waterproof. It comes on Friday.

Hi EJ, well that's something to look forward to!!! I hope it works well for you and it's easy to use.
And @AlasSouth, I agree that requiring transparent backpacks is child abuse as it opens up all sorts of opportunities for all of the proverbial playground bullies!
@Martoli you also have my sympathy for being in a school that obviously didn't think through the implications of transparent backpacks. If anything wouldn't a transparent backpack be more expensive to make (and to buy) than a regular cloth backpack? And while we're on this discussion a regular ol' backpack works well for me!

Yeah, mandatory transparent backpacks are gross. What if a young lady wants to hide a spare pair of panties and menstrual products? My best friend carried all of that by age 10, in 5th grade.

That's an interesting question and interesting answers too. To be honest, I usually don't care much about bags because I don't carry around bigger stuff....

I keep everything I need in the trunk of my car and also in the gardrobe closet in my office. This includes pads and diapers wet wipes as well as a few changes of clothes in case something goes wrong.

So when I need to change on the go, I head to the car, pack a diaper along with a pack of wet wipes in a cloth shopping bag and head to the nearest restroom. Fortunately, I don't need to do this that often because I still have some control over my bladder and manage to go to the bathroom at least more often than I wet myself in the meantime. It's really only difficult in the car or on public transport.

When I travel, I do like Justej, I have a notebook bag big enough to hold a diaper or two in addition to my notebook and some papers.
