I saw my orthopedic surgeon today. I'm having a ct scan on Monday which will determine if I have a below the knee amputation. I follow up on Friday for the decision. It's looking like the end result will be amputation because I'm just not healing. I'm in constant pain. I take tramadol er and oxycodone but I dont want to be eating pain pills for the rest of my life. I don't know how long recovery will be but I know I will have to go to rehab. I have a feeling I'll be back to having people change my diapers for awhile. I just want the pain to go away....

I feel for you, although only two fingers and part of my right hand, have been amputated I have some idea of what you are in for. I will be thinking and praying for you. Good luck I wish you all the best and hope that by taking this rather drastic action you will get out of if not all, at least the majority of the pain you are currently in. God bless you.

Thank you everyone. I'm actually at ease with my decision and I'm ok with amputation. I wish I had done it sooner. I just hope the ct scan on Monday goes fine and my doctor agrees with my decision on Friday

Wow. Sorry to hear about the pain and surgery. Definitely praying for you and for that pain to go away and healing. And of course for the doctors. Pain is certainly exhausting.
