As a British veteran, who is also half American on my mother’s side, I am proud to have served alongside my American cousins on Operation Desert Storm and Operation Provide Comfort.

Why do veterans get two holidays? I think Memorial Day should be for everyone who died and Veterans Day should be for veterans who died Or who are still living.

Memorial Days weekend, Originally known as Decoration days (Started around May, 1865) was started after the American Civil War and was organized as a day to decorate the graves of the fallen.


Veterans Day, Originally known as Armistice Day, Was started to commemorate all those who served during World War I

Veterans Day, Today is about celebrating those who served, are serving the armed forces.

Memorial Days are all about those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service of country or have died since their service.
