Feeling so dirty

The fact is, when I'm at work is when I'm affected by my incontinence the most. I feel dirty all the time. I feel as if a spotlight is on me whenever I get up to do something. I feel so defeated when I know an incontinence episode is coming but I'm in the middle of a task that I just can't drop. Then have to rush away sometimes not even being able to bring my cleanup stuff along. I stand in the stall with my pants down trying to cool off and dry up. But nothing has changed once I head back to my desk. I am not adjusting to the moisture and heat and feeling so dirty that stays with me at work and then some - all day long. I go to extremes to keep it secret so I don't think I can find any caring and suppotr in real life because it is just too shameful to be this way.

My guess is most everyone on this thread struggles with these feelings. There's a lot of courage and creative efforts to work with our issue for the most part, which i also greatly admire.Hope today is a better day.

Eventually we all have to find a way to get through those feelings. It’s not easy and seems to always revisit our thoughts but it’s who you are that’s important and finding a way to accept yourself for who you are is the most important thing in life!! Be good to yourself and others and life will be good to you!! I truly hope you find a way to get through this without too much pain and self doubt because in the end it’s about you!!

It occurs to me how may adults live with more visible or less health issues or visible ones. For instance, someone has migraines that debilitate their plans, dandruff or a nose they despise and also go around on a silent self loathing. Once i hit 40 i realised that everyone i got to know had some issue from uncontrollable flatulence to psoriasis that made them feel ugly, made them feel not attractive "enough".
