TSA - Thank you, Regina

Given the sensitive nature of Boopsie’s thread I didn’t think it right to go off on a tangent. Some advice offered by Regina was to get TSA Pre-Check for $85 (5 years).

I opted to get it and was happy with a very quick turn around. So quick that I was able to apply it to my next business trip. As it happens, my flight got rescheduled and instead of leaving at 5 was now going to leave at 3:50. That difference in an hour was a lot given the holiday traffic for this weekend so I did not have time to go change after work this morning.

That meant I was wearing an soaking wet betterdry with a northshore doubler. I didn’t have time so I checked in and rushed to security to catch my flight. I didn’t have to remove my shoes, belt or anything. All I had to do was go through the metal detector (this is at Ohare (Chicago) btw). The machine did go off but it was my dress shoes, which I placed on the belt and it was literally 5 minutes from start to finish. No line, no body scan, no patting my crotch with the back of their hand because a slight moisture setting off their machine.

Once past security (because it was so fast) I had time to change quickly before the flight. I just wanted to say thank you, Regina, for that excellent advice that I hope other frequent flyers heed.

TSA pre check is awsome. Means metal detector vs. Body scan. Very helpful. Also print TSA tag about incontinance and place on your bag.

Thank you Regina, I never thought about TSA Pre-Check. It’s been very embarrassing for me going on a flight, I’m at a point where I tell them what & why I’m wearing, then just hold my arms up and have them check me right there in line.
I will definitely get Pre-Check.

Thank you all for your postings, they really took away lots of my anxiety. My surgery was 14 months ago and I’m still leaking some days 3 pad and some days 5, nights just 1.

Thanks again.

I'm EXTREMELY happy for everyone who benefited (or will benefit) from my TSA Pre-Check advice. I'm still worried that some checkers may be more "conscientious" in their checking; nevertheless, if even a few of us benefit, that's great. Any procedure that lessens anxiety is obvious helpful. I wish all of you experiences which are less stressful.
