There is a lot about incontinence that could cause a mental breakdown. I am currently dealing with the idea of being out on my own again for the first time in years and it is very stressful. I am mentally prepared but not fully ready. I found a nice apartment that I can afford but if it is rented to someone else than i will have to find somewhere else that will be more money. Stress is effects my mental health the most. I hope everything is well with everyone else.

I am doing good but I have one of the best live-in therapist

In addition to the pic of Jessie, our female Aussie as a pup, I'd like to recommend a book written by Archibald Hart while he was a psychology professor at Fuller Theological Seminary. It's a 2001 work titled Unmasking Male Depression and can be found for cheap @ Thriftbooks. Upon my recent retirement and helping to care for my sick wife, my mind started to go "elsewhere". What my wife and I had planned for our retirement was not going to be realized. Dead in the water. Depression started to come about due to this "loss of future plans". Dr. Hart writes about identifying those losses, learn to grieve those losses but don't pitch your tent there. Learn to say goodbye to them and move on. New opportunities that are more manageable will come along. Embrace the future. Life is for living. Each day is a gift from God. On page 28 he writes about how male depression is different from female depression. So it's a good read for female spouses as well.

@ThatFLGuy Hang in there, you got this and all that will come in the future. Stress is normal and over stress is common when facing new situations. While I only wet the bed occasionally I do know that at times of stress I a more likely to bedwet. Knowing I am stressed and have a higher chance of possible wetting the bed that brings on more stress. So I get it.

To all we all got this and we all got each other for support.

im doing a-ok mentally. visiting family in colorado for my aunts memorial service. not exactly a fun trip but im so glad to see my family. i havent seen my mom since my amputation, my dad and sister and nephews since christmas, and my 2 aunts in probably 5 years.

Bob1 the book you mention sounds like a fresh perspective and a useful one.
Part of incontinence is feeling that the planned rug has been pulled out from under your feet.
I think maybe women can also benefit from hearing from a different angle.
