I LOVE hard lemonaide. I LOVE lemonade. I am trying not to think about how much i love plain lemonade because drinking it by the gallon may have precipitated my problem
The "Uncle Mikes" are pretty habit forming. I have to hold myself to one, of anything, and usually that means one a week, or less often. It ain't fair. But I can drink two espressos. Yea!
DPCare: I do love a lab, any color. Did you catch the story about TSA going with floppy-eared dogs? They look friendlier and don't scare the kids as much, like dogs with upright ears tend to do.
We had a mixed breed lab. She had tulip ears. (Half way between upright and floppy). Very expressive ears, ya bethcha.
Here's a groaner: "Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."
It might be Alex Horowitz who wrote "Being a Dog", about dogs superior sense of smell. (Not to mention hearing, and just plain old sense).
By the way, that quote is attributed to Groucho Marx. Wouldn't you know it.
@AlasSouth yeah that was a groaner and I do love my lab but I like dogs of all breeds in our training class we have a wide variety of breeds our head trainer is a breeder and she breeds Rottweilers and Boxers when I first started in class I would observe the handles working with their dogs than a few classes later the trainer Marcie brought her Boxer Sam in for me to start working with dogs Marcie uses Sam to start new handlers to get used to working with dogs and I started getting to know the other handlers and their dogsand making many 4 legged friends back in November when I had bariatric surgery Kole went and stayed at another handlers house for a week and during this week he really made friends with the Rotweiller Gracie and now, Gracie, is his girlfriend here is a photo of Gracie and Kole and a photo of my buddy Sam
Pretty cool! And thanks for giving us a better idea of how the dog program works. Being away from the dog while in the hospital is bad enough. It isn't easy for the dog, and really nice you had someone and he had someone.
Its a wonderful thing to see how much you love and understand your buddy.
What is the breed of the big brindle dog in the other picture?
I dont know if i could handle his sweet jowly face. Id want go play with his cheeks! Stop Lady! Leave my service dog alone! They all are gorgeous but each in their own way
that is Sam he is a Boxer and he is the first dog I was working within the program h belongs to Marcie who is the head trainer she uses Sam to introduce new handlers to the program until they are ready for a dog of their own Sam and I became buddies during the time working together before I met Kole
