Hey guys and gals,
Today I wanted to talk about other Types of Protection we might use to help us live a better life so that the bladder protection doesn't seem so bad.
I'm not going to sugar coat it - bladder problems suck. And living with a painful bladder condition - diapers are a resource/tool I've learned to not have to be in pain. Same with on bad spasm days and wearing protection during the day. I'm still not at that point mentally but maybe some day.
Anyway, sometimes I get in my head maybe due to my ASD - I've also always struggled with random very loud noises - and if I listen in on conversations it can send me down the rabbit hole of sorts. Reading seems to be okay - I've been taking my medicine; and I use logic the best I can to help me.
But my case manager is getting me a set of noise cancelling headphones so I can listen to music and adjust so I'm not triggered. Right now, due to my life and disorders - I have a hard time trusting others; so I think it will help protect me in a way like bladder protection does.
Does anybody else use tools and other things that are not a source of shame that can be shared - that overall will help you cope/understand that continence products are the same tool and should not be a source of shame?
Just a thought -
Blessings In Christ,
Honeeecombs
