mirabegron

I am currently into my second week of taking mirabegron for OAB. It has helped so far, but I am suffering with dizzy spells and poor eyesight. Has anyone tried this drug long term? Do the side effects go away? does it keep working?

Give it 30 days for it to start working fully, the side effects will decrease. I've been on it for a year and half. Unfortunately my MS is advancing and it dose not work as well as it did. Be careful with this, I kept a journal for 3 months (accidents, feeling retention, side effects etc.) to share with my urologist and PCP.
Good luck, keep your head up.

I'm supposedly allergic to this medication. I had forgotten why I was taking it and at the same time I do not recall having symptoms that ever cleared up. The effect I had that I think I recall was pain in my tendons. And I'm more incontinent now. I don't know if tendon pain is actually an allergic reaction. Thinking about it now I believe the pain I experienced is an expected side effect and one that justifies calling it allergy and to not use it. I recall a doctor or nurse saying something like that a year or so after, when I asked about it. But I forget time and sequence easily due to dissociation issues. I think you should tell your doctor about your symptoms and make sure it's ok to continue using it.

I just started it a few weeks ago (50mg) and so far it is helping. I have had no side effects at all.

Here in the UK it is still under licence which I think means it has been available for less than 5 years?

It goes by Myrbetriq in the US. I was on it and it didn’t work for me. It is typically prescribed for OAB.
