Kidney Stones

Hey Guys,

Little update here - been decorating my apartment more and finally it is on par with the apartment i lived in most of my young adult life. I have everything mostly to how i want it set up, and its cozy.

Does anybody have a "Roku" device; i found one pretty cheap at Target and it made a loads of a difference in my bedroom to watch movies and tv shows now that my bedroom tv being older is no longer compatiable with streaming apps being outdated. Love it!

Last weekend woke up in the middle of the night with kidney stone flank pain, had to take a trip to the ER with my mom; and found out i have a total of 3 kidney stones. One of them i passed while in the hospital, the other two unfortunately are still in my kidney.

Still trying to exercize and now dieting to lose weight and try to get in shape. Theres a bench press i want to get but i dont think that will be till down the road.

Been thinking of you guys often, just not much other than kidney stones unfortunately going on in my life. Bladder UI is pretty much the same.

Love and Blessings,
Honeeecombs

@Honeeecombs I fired cable years ago and had an antenna put up just above my roof line for broadcast TV. That was great for me for years and then like you I picked up a low-cost ROKU device. My mom lives with my sister and the equipment they have permitted them to download an app for it and they like it also. My sons use them also and do have other additions like Prime. I think mine ROKU was $30 and that is all I have paid for TV in years. You do have to have internet for it of course and that does cost.

My father had Kidney Stones when I was a kid, and it was scary. I have never had one that I know of. Was told it is the closest thing to a womans pain with childbirth. Do they have a way to dissolve the ones in your bladder?

I am trying to get more active with the weather warming up. Do some yard work and watch my diet better. This winter was bad on me for just setting around doing very little.

Take care and best of luck to you.

@Honeeecombs Good to hear from you; I was a bit worried about you. It all makes sense now, hearing you’ve been struck with stones. I’m so sorry. That’s one medical condition that is much tougher for men than women because the male urethra is significantly longer than the female urethra, so it takes men longer to pass the stone. I definitely wish for you that the next two come out ASAP!

I don’t have Roku, but I have Amazon fire stick, which I prefer even to my new “smart” TV. Those devices really do make a big difference in being able to watch movies easier in bed.

Thank you for your update and congratulations on getting your apartment the way you want it!

Hugs!

Glad you checked in! You've been quiet

Hope you are resolving kidney stones with medical help
Seems like making your be apartment honey is a real gift you have

I share your pain re: Kidney Stones.
I also ended up in the ER at 3 in the morning with Kidney Stones.
It is my understanding there are a couple of options for the stones.
1) What until they pass naturally
2) Pulverize them
3) Go in and take them out through surgery
4) Put a stent in (this is a fairy new solution)
The choice depends upon the circumstances for each person.
I wish you luck and hope the problem is resolved quickly (and without pain!)

Thanks you guys; I think I've passed 2 out of the 3 stones so far. I'm not 100% sure; but I had very bad pain last night equal to Saturday night.

Trying hard to stay hydrated and not be in pain. Hope you guys are doing well; and its good to know you guys and gals have been looking out for me. :)

Sincerely,
Honeeecombs
