Fissure and Bladder Issues

Hey Guys,

Does anybody know of a link between an acute fissure and bladder control problems? In my prior posts; you may have read that i suffered in college from Kidney Stones. Unfortunately, during that time i wasnt allowed to use my health insurance or was threatened not to - so for a very long time ive been living with an acute fissure that heals and then ruptures/heals again. I got thinking about it as i had to take a trek today and had to stop to clean myself up due to the fissure causing acute fecal incidents (feeling unclean and uncomfortable) - and i got to thinking which has been on my mind a long time if there is a link between the prolonged fissure may have caused to my pelvic floor possibly or connection between my lack of bladder capacity and frequent urges and spasms. I also dont understand why my spasm/pain worsen at night and when relaxed.

Can anybody on here relate or can relate to digestional/bowel issues being related to severe bladder control issues.

Blessings In Christ,
Honeeecombs

It may not be related to your fissure issue, but my previous urologist suggested that my bladder problems are related to my ulcerative colitis, and I've become convinced that she right. When my UC is flaring and my intestines are inflamed, my urinary urgency is much worse.

Lately my UC problems have tended toward constipation, and that produces its own issues with incontinence because it can put pressure on the bladder.

I take so many medications for so many conditions, and almost every one of them lists constipation as a potential side effect. I use MiraLAX (PEG 3350) regularly to mitigate.

I can't remember where I read this, but diverticulosis can also cause bladder irritation. (Also one of my conditions.) In fact, it said that the diverticula can actually connect to the bladder, and that can cause internal bleeding and lead to sepsis.
