Great urology experience.

Lots of posts on here about negative experiences with doctors so I thought I’d share a good one. I went to the urologist yesterday and we discussed plans for medications and such but we also discussed management and when I told him I had been restricting fluid intake to avoid leaks and actually was pretty dehydrated and told him I had started wearing diapers he actually encouraged it. He said to stay well hydrated and until we find the right meds just wear diapers because hydration is so important and there’s nothing wrong with diapers for this.

Hearing a doctor say that really helped relive the self defeating thoughts I’ve been struggling with.

That is great that you had a positive experience! The radiation oncology nurse, physician and my internist have no issue with pull-ups for the occasional diarrhea that I experience including one yesterday evening. As I mentioned in my thread yesterday he feels too soon to push any prescription meds.
