AUS

Hello everyone, I received my year and a half checkup last Thursday. My doctor informed me that since the leaking is still happening, even after doing kegels, it probably will not stop. I asked him about AUS, a topic I read from several of you. Very informative I might add. The doctor said it was a game changer. I’m scheduled to see one of his partners.
I’ve done my research on AUS, but it best to hear from someone who’s been thru it. So guys please send me your input. I know I will get the best and most honest opinion from you all. Thanks in advance.

I hope everything goes good for you @Cay. What struck out to me in your story is that you had to bring the AUS to your doctor's attention. Its sad really, some doctors truly care - and others go with the status quo and won't do anything unless you bring knowledge to the table.

But who went to school for 8 years? Am I right? Lol.

That's awesome news, wishing you the best -

I’m at the same point, and would like to hear from others, too. My post-RP radiation treatments evidently damaged my bladder somewhat, giving me Over Active Bladder (OAB) symptoms, plus greatly increased leaking. I’d like to know from those who have the AUS whether they continue to experience any OAB symptoms after the implantation of the AUS. Also, how is traveling with an AUS?

I’m sure you’ll get some new input. To see the past comments, click on Search on the left and enter Artificial Urinary Sphincter.

Hi! I recommend using QueSoft continence products. They're much thinner, cheaper and discreet, they don't even feel like you've got them on. You can order through their website at quesoft.com.au.
