Well I guess vaccines don't like me.

Temp is back up.
Luckily I have been having BM's so no stomach pain this time but, dang I hate running a fiver.

I am a normal 97.7F person so even 99.9F makes me feel like crap.

I hit 100.9 but just took some Tylenol (Doctor approved it).

I am also taking it easy on what I eat, as I did yesterday as well.

I hate getting chills.

Going to get my comfy sweater out and relax.

The malaise should go away in a few days typically. I felt sick and had some severe leg cramps that faded. Hope you feel better.

That is all very normal with vaccines. It varies from person to person but the reactions you are having is not abnormal. I had my booster shot a week ago or so and had sore arm and felt super tired. I really didn’t react to the other shots though.

I used to have to give myself shots for allergies. They taught me to always pull back on the syringe before pushing. If blood appeared in the syringe I was to not push, that I should pull it completely out and try a different injection sight.

Recently, I saw a story on the TV news. They have found that if the needle is in a vein or artery it can cause problems. They had stopped training to pull out before pushing in, because it was more complicated.

So, when we get our boosters from Moderna we will insist that they pull out before pushing in. It must be in muscle tissue.

On the first round of Covid shjots, our problem was getting the appointment. One of the fire departments did it, and did they do a fine job! There were a few people who got faint while waiting that 15 minutes, and that was it for the clinic. Probably some who got a fever after going home.
In boot camp (1972) they gave us between 12-15 shots. In one day. In one session. Used those air-pressure guns instead of needles. You went from station to station. They didn't care if you just had the tetanis shot (or anything else) 6 months ago, you got it again. If you were going overseas, there were more shots, but they came 12 weeks later. There was some fainting - passing out. They caught hell for being "sissy". The military doesn't have to make sense - there is a law exempting them.
A year later, one guy died, and his parents sued. Guys coming from boot camp, after that, reported procedures had changed.
Wife & I are waiting the required 6-months for the booster. We're both high risk.

I used to pass out for shots and I/Vs. When I was about 38 I got both a TDAP and flu shot at the same time. BOOM! I woke up on the floor, tingling all over, and I couldn't move for about 30 minutes. Since then I have had so many injections and I/V insertions that nothing seems to bother me. It might hurt, but I don't get sick anymore. Praise God!

Well that was a crazy 48+ hours. I think I sweat out for ten hours last night and it is 68° in my bedroom. Drank 2 1/2 leters of water and went through more diapers in 48 hours then I ever have. Now I just have to shower and then eat something because my stomach hurt so much from shivering that I could not eat anything since my fiver hit Thursday night. Good to be finally getting over this crazy 48 hours of hell.

Sounds like you had quite a reaction to your shot which happens to a lot of people. Do tell your doctor what kind of reaction you had. Take care and I hope you feel better really soon!
