At this time five years ago I found out how close to death I was. Doctors filled my hospital room and told me that I had a two massive abscess and my bowel was perforated. I also learned that I would be spending Christmas in the hospital away from my family. It’s been five long years and I’m still not over this day one bit. I don’t think I ever will be. Truly I am thankful to be alive and have the opportunity to be with my family this Christmas.
