Socal Security Medicaid

Funny how politicians want to pull funding from one of the lowest funded categories like Medicare/Medicare but they don't want to pull funding from the highest funded and spended categories like national defense.

And it isn't going to happen to them because we let them give themselves, on our dollars, what is simply the best health insurance in the US. If they "serve" 5 years, it's for life.

You know what? Medicare is prevented by Congress from putting medications out to bid. Hell, that's what the really big medical insurance companies do, even for what they pay a hospital for an operation. But they don't want you to have the same advantage because it would disturb their profit margins and their buddies profit margins. I've seen the figures on how much Medicare could save; they could buy an F-16 with it, maybe 4. I'll bet diapers (and wipes) are included in that restriction. Put out for bid and just imagine the low price they'd pay for whatever brand and type. That kind of mass buying gets you discounts. That's how business like CostCo can sell things cheaper. They buy by the train-load.

Medicare and Social Security could do the same, if allowed. Even if one brand is still more expensive, there is no reason why they couldn't at least let us just pay the difference between the cheapest one and the mass-buying-discounted more expensive ones. CVS Pharmacy can afford to give us a discount, and free shipping, thing what their prifit margins must be to be able to do that. If we go on Auto-Refill at CVS, so why can't Medicare be allowed to do that?

@AlasSouth

Amen. You know what's up. It's all about the players in the games of big profit markets. The money our government spends on one stealth spy jet would easily cover the needed incontinence supplies for everyone in all 50 states with money left over for them to go play
