Prefold style pin-on cloth diapers for bedwetting

Anybody else here use prefold style pin-on cloth diapers covered with plastic pants to manage their bedwetting? I use both the Euroflex plastic pants and the Leakmaster Deluxe 7 gauge plastic pants from Adultclothdiaper.com. I also wear gauze diapers with two gauze liners. From time to time I'll use disposable tape tab style diapers but find in general the cloth diapers and plastic pants do a better job of protecting the bed. Finally I have a Dry Defender pad covering my bed.

Yes, I also use prefold pin-on cloth diapers. My wife got them from Rearz or Baby Pants. My plastic panties, the pull on style, are from Baby Pants also but LeakMaster is where she gets my snap-on plastic pants. I like those because they’re buttery soft and not as hot as the plastic panties but she puts me in pull-on plastic panties at night because I’m a side sleeper. They don’t leak usually.

I hear/read so many positive experiences of people using/wearing cloth nappies especially at night but my experience has not been great. Ignoring all the washing hassle, I have tried cloth/terry nappies in the past - after all it was what I was in at night until I was 14! - but clearly have not got it right. I had some large(huge) square terry nappies and would fold them ‘kite style’ I think it was. I don’t remember where I got large nappy pins from and the plastic pants did not keep it all under wraps so to speak! I have no bladder control now and wear disposable adult nappies 24/7 but would like to try cloth again if I could get it right. So first stupid question - what is a pre-fold nappy? Next questions:
What is the best way to fold and fit a cloth nappy? Where do I get large nappy pins from? Where/who makes the best waterproof pants to fit over cloth nappies? I am in the UK.

I think a pre fold nappy (also called a diaper) is premade with sewn in extra layers down the center. My mom used Curity brand flat diapers, several layers at a time with extra ones folded and placed down the center. As I got older she would put more and more extra ones in the middle. By the time I was a teen it was so thick I usually had to waddle when I walked. Silly looking but effective I guess. My wife still pins cloth diapers on me but they are the ones with extra layers sewn in down the middle. I think my extra big diaper pins came from Rearz. Look for the 3 inch ones. Little duckies on the head are cute snd look much like the smaller ones I had growing up.

Hi: I switched from the disposables to cloth diapers for bedwetting and daytime problems. I am glad I made the switch. Except I have a question. Will the extra large adult sized diaper pins along with snap on plastic pants, and onsie snaps make it through the airport metal detector?

I was pegged with my diaper pins before. I just wear a disposable brief when I go through check in. I certainly didn’t mind showing them my pins but I think it was uncomfortable to the guy checking me.

I wear cloth prefold diapers and plastic panties. I have a nurse who diapers me and Janie puts desitin on me so I don't get what Janie calls sore butt. At first having a lady say honey did you potty was embarrassing but now I'm used to being changed. I giggle and say Janie I went wee wee. I will say messy is still embarrassing.

Sorry but I would never let my aides ask if I went “potty” or would “giggle and say I went wee wee”. I have a pretty good relationship with them but I guess not like that.

I grew up wearing curity pin on diapers with pull up or snap sides plastic pants. I’ve always found thick pin on diapers with pull on plastic pants the most effective in keeping sheets dry. Of course plastic mattress protection is essential. Wetting numerous times at night even with thick diapers can overflow. Quality disposables are just find for daytime use.

I have to wear cloth pin on diapers and plastic pants at night otherwise I leak and the sheets are always wet. Curity diapers and plastic panties work fine if they are double or triple layer.

I am older and single and often wonder I I would ever meet someone that understands this problem and my need to be diapered at night.
