Prefold style pin-on cloth diapers for bedwetting

Anybody else here use prefold style pin-on cloth diapers covered with plastic pants to manage their bedwetting? I use both the Euroflex plastic pants and the Leakmaster Deluxe 7 gauge plastic pants from Adultclothdiaper.com. I also wear gauze diapers with two gauze liners. From time to time I'll use disposable tape tab style diapers but find in general the cloth diapers and plastic pants do a better job of protecting the bed. Finally I have a Dry Defender pad covering my bed.

I grew up wearing curity pin on diapers with pull up or snap sides plastic pants. I’ve always found thick pin on diapers with pull on plastic pants the most effective in keeping sheets dry. Of course plastic mattress protection is essential. Wetting numerous times at night even with thick diapers can overflow. Quality disposables are just find for daytime use.

i’ve been using cloth diapers for the past month or so and I’m not a fan. I feel like they always smell and they are so bulky. I would much more prefer to go back to goodnite style pull-ups. They’re very discrete, but sometimes they do not hold a lot.

Hi Donny, I grew up in Curity cloth diapers, too. I still wear gauze cloth diapers. I find them superior for comfort and protection. Recently, I discovered the overnight Brooks plastic pant at myprotex.com and have purchased several. It’s very poofy with a high waist. It completely covers a big thick diaper. This is now my fav plastic pant.

I did about a year ago. For some reason i decided to try it for a couple of nights. I found that i slept better, and worried less about overflow and side sleeping. Since then i have been in cloth diapers every night. I wear disposables during the day. I have also found a good process to keep the wet diaper stink down. I feel more rested because of it.

I do the same. Cloth diapers at home for the evening and sleeping. Disposable diapers for the day, plus evening if I’m going out.

I wear cloth diapers pretty much all the time at night, except when traveling. A 2 week vacation with only cotton diapers is not practical for me, so in that case, I use BetterDry disposable diapers. Regardless of the diaper type, I also use Kins plastic pants. I have not had good luck with velcro fastened diapers, so I use adult prefold diapers with the large adult size diaper pins. Being a side sleeper, I seldom have any leaks like this.

I grew up with cloth diapers and plastic pants, because that was all that was available then. I still use them at night sometimes, but they require more work, so I wear disposables to bed more. Still,I always consider making the switch back to cloth more permanent.

I follow the same plan. Daytime I use quality disposables but I also wear a pair of cloth lined plastic pants over those in case of leaks. Cloth just aren’t practical for daytime use, for me. At night I stick with my thick prefold gauze cloth with 4 or 5 baby cloth prefolds inside. This usually handles my side sleeping but not always since I often wet numerous times in my sleep and can overflow even my thick combination. Plastic mattress cover is essential.

I hear/read so many positive experiences of people using/wearing cloth nappies especially at night but my experience has not been great. Ignoring all the washing hassle, I have tried cloth/terry nappies in the past - after all it was what I was in at night until I was 14! - but clearly have not got it right. I had some large(huge) square terry nappies and would fold them ‘kite style’ I think it was. I don’t remember where I got large nappy pins from and the plastic pants did not keep it all under wraps so to speak! I have no bladder control now and wear disposable adult nappies 24/7 but would like to try cloth again if I could get it right. So first stupid question - what is a pre-fold nappy? Next questions:
What is the best way to fold and fit a cloth nappy? Where do I get large nappy pins from? Where/who makes the best waterproof pants to fit over cloth nappies? I am in the UK.
Thanks
