Dear Message Board Users,
In the past few months we have seen a couple of requests or "hints" from users on this board to receive donations or money. While we understand that there are indeed people out there that need assistance due to hard times or situations, we just want to advise you to refrain from sending money to people through these boards.

While we believe most of the people here are honest and sharing their stories in good faith, we would hate for any of our members to be taken advantage of.

These boards are meant to serve as moral support and as a place to share tips, experiences, frustrations and success stories. Not as a place to pander for money or donations.

Moving forward, any posts that we see that indicate a request for donations to be made will be deleted. We will try our best to stay on top of this, but we ask our users to help us in this effort by reporting any posts they see that they feel are suspect.

For those who truly need help paying for absorbent products, please visit the National Diaper Bank Of America's Website, which has a listing of diaper banks around the country. These organizations help supply products to those in need.

Thank you, as always, for being such a caring group. We appreciate your help in keeping these boards honest!

Thank You. This frustrates me to no end!!
Many of us work very hard to be able to afford diapers for a condition we didn’t ask for and many of our insurance companies do not cover these items in any way, shape, or form.

Great advice NAFC and yes we all need to be aware and cautious when it comes to people looking for donations. There are plenty of local donation banks out there to help us, if you can’t find one try your local hospitals and call your local city hall for assistance.

I dont ask for money I was asking as in diapers I have Insurance but they don't cover them And I have called around to all the diaper banks Around my area and thay tell me that thay dont have eney for adults thay tell me thay Only have them for Kids and babies I hate that I'm left to suffer like I do every morning waking up all wet I did not ask to have this problem I'm not asking for money but if Somebody Has any Protection They can spare

Jared, since these are disposables you will use them up, no one could send a steady supply. It would be best to think of something reusable that is cheap.
I recommend small bathtowels costing only a few dollars from Walmart or a Dollar General. You place between your legs like a rope from front to back and can even change to a dry one if you wake in the night. Put a plastic trash bag next to your bed for the wet one and do a machine wash of just the used towels in the morning.
If you dont have a washing machine put the wet ones in your bath tub or shower and hand wash as best you can when you shower. Then wring it out and hang to dry.
Do invest in the thickest plastic mattress cover you can again Walmart is good resource.
Wash the cover with soap and water often. Get a waterproof incontinence pad to lay on the bed sheet and was it as often as you do the towels. CVS or Walgreens have them in the same area they sell diapers.

If it helps (anyone) I have found that a cloth booster inside a disposable brief of almost any quality stems most leaks at night. This, for me is either a receiving blanket or a cotton diaper folded up and inserted into the area of the product I'm wearing that gets the most wet. In the morning, the cloth inserts get thrown into the shower with me and then into the laundry with some vinegar.to soak. If I have only a lightweight disposable, I use more than one insert. This can save money when I am on a budget.

I like Certaintys, though we can't get them in Canada. Someone said they were inexpensive, but I never had any problems with them. Mind you- my problems are more severe now than when I was using them.
