Plastic Backed Pull Up Diapers

I wish there was a company that would make plastic backed pull up diapers? What would be so hard in putting plastic on front of pull up rather than cloth. I wish Northshore Care or some other medical company would manufacture a plastic backed pull up diaper. They would have the protection of the plastic backing but the ease of a pull up. I'm sure those would sell well!

I don't see what would be so hard about adding plastic backing onto the current cloth or taking an already plastic brief diaper and put on elastic bands instead of tabs and making a plastic backed pull up diaper like that.

Having a plastic backed diaper probably won't work. With repeated washings and drying, the plastic will crack rendering them useless, unless you use another pair of plastic pants over them. I tried a pair like this many years ago, and this is what happened.

Yes agree it would cost to much. What is wrong with wearing a regular diaper??? I get it might be a good idea but I don't think it will work, because most of diapers today are cloth back and that's how there made. If you want plastic back diapers you have to pay more or get abdl ones. Medicaid doesn't cover plastic back diapers they only cover cloth back diapers.that's how it is in NY.

I currently use a cloth pull-up diaper (overnight) along with plastic pants. Only need one change a day. Initial cost was about $45.00 each. I bought 6 diapers almost 4 years ago and they are still in great shape, just some minor wear at the waist. These were purchased from fetware.com. great prices and fast service.

They are already plastic backed. They are just coated in fibers to give the illusion of being cloth. It would be as simple as not coating them. The results of use would be the same. They would still have he same issues.

Yes that is true like I said in my previous post, most adult diapers are cloth like anyways.there are only a handful of plastic backing diapers out there.

I grew up wearing the plastic backed diapers so I guess I just like the feel of plastic better since that is what I was used to wearing as a baby.

Over time, it would be cheaper just to wear a good pair of plastic pants over this type of diapers. Frankly, I don't quite know this type.

If you’re looking for a plastic pull-up diaper similar to a plastic diaper like Abena, Confidry, or Megamax, I don’t see how that is possible. A pull-up, by design, is highly elastic. Plastic diapers are elastic only at the waist and legs. Plastic isn’t flexible. So it won’t translate easily into a highly elastic pull-up. That’s my way of thinking but I’m certainly open to hearing other opinions.

I'm know that but there post about plastic pull ups. Why would you want a plastic pull up anyway??? My thinking is that a tape on diaper is the best portacion you can get. Plastic back diapers are better than cloth like diapers. To last person to post on this you are right. It would be hard make a pull up like that.

I get such a custom fit with taped diapers, that I'm not sure what the benefit would be for plastic backed pull-ups.I've tried all the cloth backed disposables, as I'd really prefer to wear a quiet diaper, but the only success I've had for significant overnight use is plastic backed, so that's what I use.
