Optilume stricture treatment

Curious if anyone has tried the new optilume treatment for urethral strictures? Was planning on having it done since I have a small urethral stricture that makes it hard to void without stopping and starting several times.

I will follow this post with interest. I was told this is suitable for strictures in the anterior part of the urethra and not for a bladder neck resection, so it would not work for me. There are issues with how long a urethra stretch lasts, but for me it seems to have been just about good enough.

I am 14 months past my prostectomy and I was having urination problems that were erratic slow streams and difficulty starting and stopping.. so I had I guess the procedure that you were talking about and didn't know what it was called but it did very well for me and I am probably 70% better and can produce a steady strong stream most of the time now.. my urologist did say that the problem might return and I would need to have the procedure again.. I'm going to discuss more about that when I see him next week in the follow-up to the procedure and I have many questions for him.. my main issue now is that I still cannot get an erection and I do Cialis daily .. the doctor said it might be up to 2 years before I can get an erection and of course maybe never, at least not without the other procedures that I don't care for which was the prosthetic and the injections.. best wishes with your situation
