More test, More doctors and more, more, more!!!

Got a new urologist with it will come test that I am dreading but need to be done.

Getting my 5th colonoscopy at only 40 years old on December 11th.

Seeing my Surgeon on December 20th "my almost died day".

And more.

Now to only hope that my dad will be in town for my colonoscopy.

So glad after all the frustration that you are seeing some attention to your situation. Hoping for a good outcome. 🙂 Pam

Colonoscopies. Such fun - NOT!

I had about 25 of them between the ages of 22 and 54. There are lots of things I miss about having a colon, but that's not one of them!

I hope your tests go well and give you the results you need.

The examination can be painful, but the worst part is the emptying. I still have my colon - so I still have the «pleasure» ;)

Also I have to do a two day clean out. They are finally trying too get to the bottom of what is going on in my gut.
Get to the "bottom" of it? 🤣

Serially, though, I hope you're able to get some answers, or at least some new information. Going through everything you've had to deal with has to be awful, and at least for me, not knowing is the worst part.

The pun was intended.. LOL

Also, Gastroenterology nurce is saying twice a year CT or once a year Colonoscopy. To many flair ups without any real answers to risk not doing them.

I once sent in ten entries to a local pub contest. I was sure one of them would win, but no pun in ten did.

My annual colonoscopies started a few years after I got diagnosed with PSC. At that point, I'd been diagnosed with UC for about twenty years, so it was later than a lot of people who start annual colonoscopies as soon as eight years after diagnosis. The recommendations have changed since I got diagnosed in the 80s. I didn't even have my first colonoscopy until six years after diagnosis, though I'd already had eight or ten sigmoidoscopies at that point.

CT is easier, but colonoscopy is a better diagnostic tool and doesn't involve all the X-ray exposure of a CT.
