New to diapers

I’m new here I’ve been having incontinence issues for several years on and off but this last year it’s gotten a lot worse a month ago I ended up admitted to the hospital after a complication from surgery. I had to tell my nurses the truth and that I needed to wear diapers so I didn’t wet the bed and then I told my pcp and have been in diapers 24/7 for the last month due to strong urge incontinence. I’m just still learning how to be comfortable in public and now it doesn’t bother me to go out on public diapered anymore. This is nothing I wanted or ever expected to happen but life goes on and there is life after incontinence. Any tips out there in working to get insurance to help with costs? Thank you in advance

Sadly it is rare that insurance covers the cost of diapers. One of those items they try to avoid covering I guess the on going expense. We shop around and look for sales then stock up. You find your routine and go about life. I have never let being in a diaper stop my from being social and active in the things I want to do. I am blessed my wife is super supportive and an amazing care provider. We both enjoy an active life which has lead to some diaper changes in some very interesting situations lol. It would be great to have at least a partial reimbursement from insurance. I have been hospitalized far too many times however the staff and doctors have all been good experiences regarding my incontinence.
