New Gastroenterlogist

Well, Finally talked to the right person in my GI office about the ongoing issue of not getting sceduled to see anyone with in gastroenterology.

I had my current doctor removed (I have not seen her in over two years. She is so part-time now with the hospital that she is only there less than one day a month... She got the job she wanted teaching in sim lab, so she has messed over all her patients by being a doctor of record but not doing doctor duties at all)

So now I have a new, NEW Doctor going to take a look at my case and I will be able to be seen more often.

Tomorrow, I see Nurology, and then will make up my mind what I am doing about my PCP as well.

Sounds like great news! It would have been nice if your old doc had let all her patients know what the deal was. But, a step in the right direction! - Pam

That certainly raises concerns about patient care responsibilities. When my urology was out for emergent surgery his partner stepped in and I had good continuity of care.

I second Pam in heading in the right direction. Hopefully all the docs will communicate and coordinate the care you need.

Hey FL Guy - Considering how much and how long you have been getting the run around and/or being completely blown off - Perhaps you can make yourself clear to your new doc what you have had to deal with, and certainly don't want it to continue going forward. - Pam
