Needing advice...

Again I had to remove the urinary catheter because I don't know what happened, possibly it moved out of place or something like that and when that happens the pain is very strong and I am already thinking of not using it for a while at least, but the problem is no is that I have incontinence but because of my tiny bladder I am leaking 24 hours a day so I need the best pull up that you can recommend and some cream to soften the places that are irritated because there are always urine leaks through the genitals, groin, etc .. I am very grateful for the advice you can give me to alleviate this serious problem for me. Thanks, friends.

Abena makes the best pull up I have found, NorthShore Care has a close second. If it is leaking a lot, you might need to bite the bullet and wear a full brief. I got there after fighting it for a long time and too many leaks.

Sudo Cream, Calmoseptine, and even some of the herbals help with irritation. The real winner is open air and mother nature. I try to find time to just sit on a pad or just be dry in some manner for 15-30 min a day if I can.

I highly recommend CALAZIME. After you clean yourself up, you apply just a little dab. A little goes a long way, and it has a cooling effect. A little pricey, but well worth it. Another way I've used is the target brand of diaper rash cream. About 3-4 dollars a tube, but works just as good as desiten and/or A&D ointment.

Sammy, you have to be careful to not let the bag pull on the catheter. The pain is very intense when that happens. Make sure the bag is lower than the catheter but high enough on your leg to leave slack in the tube.

Hi Sammy. I don't think I've talked with you before. Are you new here? If so, welcome! We will do our best to help you out. And if you're not new, then, welcome again!:D
I'm afraid I can't really advise on catheters as I don't use them But I have always preferred pull-ups (or pull-ons) since my incontinence is more moderate than severe. I like the Prevail maximum style. I get them from Carewell. You can easily google them and talk to a rep and they will suggest something. You may need something that's a step up from what I wear. That's good because Prevail pull-ons and briefs come in several different models (sounds like buying a car, doesn't it?) :D They will send out samples if you want. But the best thing about Carewell is they have warehouses in several different areas of the country so you're liable to get your shipment faster.
North Shore is also excellent if you prefer a more premium absorbency, or even a brief type. Once again they will send out samples. They also have really good booster pads, too! They ship from one location in suburban Chicago but the time to wait for your shipment to arrive is reasonable.
I hope that gives you some ideas that you can try. Please let us know if you need more suggestions as well as tell us how you make out!
