Mo’ water mo’ problems.

@snow incontinence sucks but it can be a rather minor aspect of life with the right attitude and protection. I make sure I’m protected and if anything drink more water now so I don’t smell like pee or get infections

Good attitude to have Ben. Keep it up.

I think @Benfrank really got it what he said about the dating aspect being a "good jerk filter!" Couldn't agree with that more! So, @snow, please think of that as a good tool when thinking about dating! And assuming I ever get to the dating point again, I will practice that as well! If someone is that shallow to judge you on incontinence then you can definitely do without him in the long (and short) run! It wouldn't bother me if a woman told me she's incontinent. No, not at all! (after all, I'd say, well guess what...?) But I'd be a lot more worried if a woman told me she is still married or is going steady with someone else. Now THAT is a real deal-breaker! And guess what, something like that happened to me, but that's a long story. Shan't go there now! I know it's easy to get frustrated, we all do at times. But you've got a lot going for you. I know it's obvious to me from reading your posts. But the one thing I would ask is you take care of yourself as you're the only you you've got! So please do as all of us in this thread say and drink enough water and keep infections at bay! And if you ever feel you need encouragement, come here and we will listen and reinforce you. You can count on that!

I understand your comment on certain activities- there are some things you just can't do- at least for extended periods of time when you are wearing protection. And, there are jobs you can't do, like working outdoors in the heat when you are padded. Can you imagine working on a paving crew? I suspect I'd pass out with heatstroke if I had to work in such conditions. Fortunately, I've made (relative) peace with the limitations this imposes. I think it's a good idea to have other options open to you in case of such lifestyle changes as the onset of an injury or condition such as ours. Of course, that's easy to say, on the far side of a crisis...

Or, @jeffswet, how about working on a paving crew in Florida about this time of year!:O Or even west Texas, with hardly any trees in sight!

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate your support! I’m going to start drinking more water again with increased daytime protection.

Nowww you're talking @snow! Increasing your daytime protection won't be all that bad and drinking more water will pay dividends, believe me!

@snow I think you are making the right decision. Hydration is necessary for health. True there might be a trade off with increased accidents and need for better protection to keep your clothes/bed dry but the health benefits from having proper hydration will out way that negative.
