After urodynamics, it was discovered that my bladder function is mostly normal, but the major issue is very high capacity (over a liter). Urologist firmly believes this is overfilling is causing urgency because of delayed bladder sensation. Nerves are not communicating. Anyway, the plan for now is timed voiding. I'm unhappy about this because the last thing I want is to go to the bathroom more. On the other hand, if I give it an honest chance and it doesn't work, then an Interstim is a possibility. Or permanent timed voiding. Or diapers. ☹️ It could lead to answers, but I really really don't want to be in the bathroom more. Who has done this and has it actually been helpful for you if you have high capacity like me?

I have a similar issue. My incontinence was the result of a spinal injury and I have no feeling of needing to wee. Like you my bladder can at times hold a lot so when I do go it is a lot. I tried catheters and the like in the past but they gave me regular UTIs. Even now if I go into hospital I have to tell the nursing staff not to catheterise me as I will get a UTI. Having exhausted other methods my specialist nurse continence adviser suggested that I wear adult nappies to manage it. That was almost 40 years ago. At first I was very self conscious but now they are just a part of my everyday clothing and enable me to lead a pretty normal and active life.
