I had my prostate removed a year and 8 months ago Then 40 rounds of radiation, a year of hormone shots .. And i haven't been able to hold back my urine since . I wear a diaper and to try to stay dry by stuffing 4 sheets of paper towel inside the diaper area And if i poop i fold 2 more pieces up and stuff them on my behind area .... I have never been thru so much discomfort in my life .. To make matters worse i'm impotent .......It doesn't seem to be a light at the end of this tunnel ....

Sounds like you may be a good candidate for some more absorbent diapers and/or some booster pads which work much better than paper towels. Boosters are economical and can easily be removed after bowel incident without needing to change the diaper.

Adam is right I used to pickup whatever worked to stay dry or just use creative means when necessary. I like the paper towel idea but as someone who has been sold on the quality and exceptional customer service from Northshore. The have inserts that are really comfy and work amazingly well. They just fit in your normal underwear.

Hi Aceone,

I had radioactive seeds implanted and a lot of focused radiation prior to that to kill my agressive prostate cancer about 10 years ago. I also became incontinent and lost the ability (but not the desire)to penetrate. It is a bitch, but consider the alternative you and I faced; a very painful death from prostate cancer that would have metasticied.

There are a lot of caring, helpful people in this group to help you play the cards you were dealt. Eventually, you and I will be dead and after twenty years or so largely forgotten. Until then we have been given our lives back to live the hell out of with the reprieve we have been given. So take advantage of all the solutions our people have found to make the situation more tolerable and enjoy all the wonderful things you can do.

Guys for the ed thing. Check out Chesapeake Urology. They have something injectable that is amazing. For the first time in years I feel like I’m 20 again. The doctor was really excellent. In fact the whole staff is very good. If you want their phone number and the urologist name pm me.
