Incontinence post surgery and disappointment

Thank you Snow. I have tried several but just not sure if good for work. I work 12 hour shifts in healthcare and am on my feet for most of that time. My main issue is stress incontience.

@Jimfrompa I think you mentioned that you are several weeks away yet from returning to work, so you might see a noticeable improvement by then. I do think Snow's advice to get Depends Night Defense is a good one. They are very absorbent and discreet. If you work 12-hour shifts, then I recommend having several handy to change into when/if you feel the diaper is full.

@Jimfrompa Well, all you can do is try, and keep a supply you can change into. Because of nerve damage, my bladder completely releases all night long in my sleep and a Night Defense almost always contains it all.

For all day appointments, I wore 3 depend pullups at the same time and a depend pad. I used scissors to cut out the inner most pullup. This greatly reduced the need to take my shoes and pants off to change pullup.

@thudson1965 Always full of great ideas and experiments; I love it! Thanks for reminding me about this - I remember you brought it up before, but I had forgotten.

3 depend pullups will add about an inch when dry to the hips - there will be some noticeable bulk in the crouch area. Try it at home to get use to the feeling before going out.

Bulk was not my concern since I wore cargo pants. I was much more concern about the 40 ounces of daily leakage.

Someone working 12 hour shifts will have challenges as they heal and regain their continence such as balancing fluid intake to fluid needed to work 12 hours.
