When it comes to handicap features, it may be "code", but it seems like it is always the minimum that gets built. You don't even have room to work the wheels as you attempt the doors, and the door doesn't swing far enough to actually open the full amount specified by law. The ramps may meet "code", but they are too steep to be practical, or require painful effort or too long an effort. Used to work for a guy who handicap private homes. He got paid for it by a state program, but not for what they considered the percentage he exceeded the minimum. Stinks. Not enough handicapped spaces in parking lots. Speak up at the Planning & Zoning meetings, or city council.
