Humorous interaction

It's been a while since I've posted, even though I stop in every day to see who's on and what's being discussed. But, anyway...

So, ever since Winter began, I've had a pretty rough time financially. At the beginning of this week, I have enough diapers to get to the end of the week. It's a serious source of stress and anxiety for me, which only makes the problem worse.

Anyway, my Mom has known the basics for about a year or so, and knows a little about how I manage it. On the phone the other day, I told her about some of my stock shortages. She got online and with me coaching her through the website, she ordered and paid for a case of Betterdry. They should be here tomorrow or the next day.

She understands the issue and wears pullups herself.

A couple comments I made really had her laughing. I told her, "I never thought that when I'm 59 years old, my Mom would be keeping me in diapers." Not like she's putting one on me, but she is keeping me in diapers.

I also told her, "Nothing says Love like a guy in his 50's getting a case of diapers from his Mom."

I think some of it is, she thinks it's funny that I'm fairly well adjusted to this and can joke about it to some extent.

@spicewerx - How great that you and your Mom still share these unexpected times, and appreciate each other seemingly no matter what. Wonderful. - Pam

That's the essence of a good relationship with a family member!
Np judgement, help each other and have a laugh

Glad to see you again

That is nice of mom to help. Have you considered trying some cloth diaper options to help save on expenses? At least for bedtime.
That’s what I’ve been doing lately. Disposable by day and cloth diapers at night. It certainly has saved me some money. Being retired on a fixed income changed the way I have to plan many things now. From food, basic supplies, less going out, travel and entertainment, even using less utilities when possible.

I hope things and expenses get better for you at the young age of 59. 🙂
So glad you have a healthy family relationship.
Best,
J

My neighbor who knows I've incontinence issues gave me some pull ups which a friend gave her as she herself has incontinence issues.
