Foley catheter as a solution for overactive bladder?

I had a SPC for about 4-5 months. I hated it. I still had to wear diapers and the infections were bad. The night bags would leak and I couldn’t get the hang of a flip flow valve. I would spasm and pee myself before I got to the toilet. I probably should have given it more time looking back but I just didn’t like it. And the discharge around the site was gross. I was told it would never go away as it was my body trying to dispel the tube. I had a foley in for the first couple weeks along with the SPC and found it very uncomfortable. I have female anatomy though so it maybe different. (I’m transgender).

A flip flow doesn't work for me either, when i use one i also have spasms with leaking. I only use a plug for a couple of minutes while showering. Otherwise i let the catheter drain constantly. Sometimes i still have some leaking beside the catheter and i think it's from the lowest point of the bladder were urine collects around the balloon. I therefore still use pull ups, but just the ones for minor incontinence. I also have some discharge but it doesn't hurt and the diaper helps with that as well. The feeling of my body trying to dispel the catheter i only had with a latex cath now i have a silicone and i hardly feel it.
The only downside is the smell of the catheterbag. I use a bag only for a day but after a few hours i can smell it. I do have infections but it doesn't hurt, only lets my urine smell awfull, even through the bag.

Yes, a UTI. But i have bacteria in my bladder for years and tried every antibiotics, but non really helped. It's just more or less severe, ( i can tell from the colour and the odour ) and now it is severe. My dotor warnt me for this and thats why they want to limit the time i have one. The infection doesn't hurt but the urge and bladder spasms i had without the foley did. So for me, i'm good as it is now.

Since a few years i have constant uti. The last treatment was a rinsing of the bladder with antibiotics. The treatment was extended 3 times, but still had no, or just very little effect. I always had a lot side effects from the oral antibiotics so i was happy to stop that. I don't often test my urine anymore, but i know from the odour how severe it is. When jt smells strong a normal home test is enough to indicate a uti. When the odour is normal i takes a doctors test. My urine is never clear though.

@Eden98 That's the thing I barely felt a slight urge to go at 1500ml and that's not a good thing.
If urine backs up into your kidneys it can cause a kidney infection, cause your bladder to rupture could also cause renal failure of 1 or both kidneys.
That's just some of the concerns that I have.
Another concern I have is with my hands and fingers, which are not only curled up but also numb then there's the poor grip in my hands and fingers.
I have mixed feelings about an spc ie I'm on the fence about them.
I will probably inquire about the interstim bladder stimulator and or about an spc, when I go back to my urologist in 2 weeks.
