My wife confided in my mother in law when I started having issues. I had no idea how to make it less awkward when I was around her. We went on a family trip and shared the hotel room. I had a child in diapers at the time and my MIL was changing him. I handed her one of my diapers and waited.

She asked, in surprise, 'what the hell is that?'. We finally had the conversation. I didn't want to actually share that with her but I took the opportunity since she already knew.
