Feeling down

First off. I know things could be much worse. I know just having accidents at night in compared to other things don’t awful.

But dealing with depression and anxiety. The last couple days have been rough. And seriously waking up wet no matter when I sleep. It just becomes a lot at times. I get these feelings maybe once a month. And I always get mad at myself for not wearing a diaper when I sleep because then I can’t ever really fall asleep.

Especially when I start to get a rash and it becomes sore.

And some nights, I just don’t comprehend how wearing something to bed makes me sleep so much better. It’s a concept that is hard to grasp at times.

I’m just venting in a safe place is all :)

I use to get the same way. When my journey started. I would be mad at my self have anxiety and depression. Took me a long time to understand it is not my fault. I started out only wearing diapers when I thought I would need them. I would have accident and that started stressing me out. So I decided to go 24/7 my stress, anxiety, and depression, they went way down. I started enjoying life again. When I first went full-time I thought it was a mistake. But now I wished I would have done it sooner. Would have made my life better sooner.I missed out on so much in life. I say if it helps you just wear it not as bad as it seems

sorry to hear you are feeling down, and I really hope things start to look up soon

Think of it this way
You have a can.
You have a can opener.
Why not use it instead of banging the can against the floor?

Hi @Dkscray255, When you're starting a new routine it always takes some getting used to. That's the same if you're starting new medications, or a new exercise or diet routine, or anything else that involves changing the way you do things.
If that happens to me I just bite the bullet and do it! Then your mindset adjusts to that new routine and you soon begin to see the advantages or at least why you need to do this new routine.
Wearing protection is just like those examples. Sure it's hard to adjust and get used to it; that's human nature. But once you're thinking in that new way you realize, "this really makes sense! Why didn't I do this before now?"
I always say on this forum that it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!!! Same way with wearing protection!!!
You're wearing something that's appropriate and comfortable for you and you have an accident! Well big deal!!! You are prepared for it and you are enabled at that point to go about your life.
You'll find that you're dealing with it appropriately and doing what you know you should be doing. And taking that approach should help with those occasional feelings of anxiety and depression.
So just take the plunge and do it! And know that everyone is here to support you and cheer you on and help in any way we can!!!
