ED meds

Has anyone experienced side effects with the oral ED meds -not initially but after being on them for a while?

This topic belongs in the men’s group. The topic also has nothing to do with incontinence And doesn’t even belong anywhere on this forum. Your penis, your sperm, your ejaculation, your ED and your erections all have nothing to do with the true purpose of this forum, which is to discuss urine and fecal and incontinence. Save it for your guy friends and the Fakebook groups about this topic.

There are plenty of topics that have been posted to this forum that are not related to just incontinence. If you don’t have anything informative to add then don’t and ignore the post and move on.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) occur frequently as men age. Both conditions have common pathogenetic mechanisms and epidemiological data support a link between ED and LUTS in men that is independent of age and other co-morbidities.

We have said this many times-all of these conditions are connected. In truth, while we focus on incontinence, NAFC covers all sorts of topics, from bladder, bowel, pelvic floor, prostate, and yes, erectile function. However, I do understand the frustration of not being able to separate all of these out. Very soon (within the next month or so) we will be making a big announcement about the forums that will allow us to do this much better so that you all can more easily find the topics you are looking for. Please be patient as we prepare for this transition-more info to come soon!

So, other people have screwed up so you have the right to screw up?

I am glad the site moderator has weighed in on this issue. Everything posted is regarding legitimate medical issues. There is nothing inappropriate about asking for information regarding ed, incontinence or any aspect of sexual function. These issues are all related with diseases and trauma to the pelvic region. If a topic does not interest or pertain to your situation, move on but allow others to help each other with sharing relevant information.

The men’s only (and I’m sure the women’s only section) are not used. They were someone’s bad idea to over compensate for a non problem. If a topic says ED it is the same as if it was in the men’s only section. If anyone is not interested, they just simply should not click. The best solution would be a BLOCK for any key word or an individual whose opinion you do not want to hear. Then any choice is removed for them. Hopefully the new features will allow everyone to discuss topics of interest to them without fear of being diminished, and both men and woman could find topics that affect their partners as well as themselves. Be kind. Life is short.

Respectfully I disagree. These topics are all related and contribute to the suffering and mental well being of the members posting their problems. Radical prostatectomy is responsible for the majority of male incontinence issues and unfortunately it comes with a huge impact on men’s sexual function and happiness. While not every post is relatable to every member no one should be discouraged from posting as sharing their story takes courage and can be difficult to share. These are not salacious posts but rather genuine medical issues that are causing distress to many members of the forum. If I see a post that does not relate to me or I have no information of relevance, I move on with the hope that someone else will be able to assist the member posting with any information that they will find valuable. I have only ever seen legitimate questions and not anything that I would consider in appropriate. These problems for both men and women are difficult enough to discuss without placing any restrictions on which section they are posted in. By all means they should all be posted where the get viewed by the most members. All of the issues posted are important. With all respect I would suggest you simply not read or respond to any posts dealing with subjects you are not interested in. We are all in this together and only non judgmental input will keep this forum the safe, valuable place for adult discussion of these sensitive issues that we all depend on.
Sincerely
