Dr Perscribed Diapers. Which to choose?

I saw a new doctor since I moved and medicaid where I am at supplies diapers.

The incontinence company says I can choose 180 a month of Prevail, Select (the cheaper brand of tranquility), depends and Attends.

They will 280 supply tranquility boosters. 5 boxes of gloves and wipes.

Which ones are better. Its not the better quality products I am currently using but hoping to save money.

I cant speak for daytime but overnight I have used a few of those.. if the Select work as good as the regular Tranquility I would go with those and maybe booster for night.

My 2nd choice would be the Prevails. Its been years since I've used them but they were pretty average, not great for night.

Attends has a few different styles so I guess it would depend on which one they had. Most are not that good.

I dont think Depend would even be in the conversation as a better option of your choices.
Sorry I couldn't be more help but would hate to see you stuck with a case of product that doesn't work.

This depends. But if you are attentive, I'm sure you will Prevail. A good diaper will boost your comfyness, and keep you dry 24/7. There is a megamax number to choose from.some are supreme and some are not. This was going to be a one-liner but turned out to not be. Anyway, I hope you absorbed all this and hopefully your brain did not swell and overflow.

My husband has had more reliable performance with Prevail than the others you listed...if that helps at all :)

We ***really*** need to create and maintain a master spreadsheet about diapers, pull-ups, pants, etc., because we all answer this over and over and over again.

(and I’m guilty of asking about it when I first logged on, too, even though the answers already existed on the forum)

What works for one person may not work for another. A good option would be get samples from as many companies as you can, then see which one works best for you. You can ask 1,000 people and get 1,000 different opinions. Good luck.

I was blessed with my new PCP approving my specific brand request this week. In the past, my Dr. just wrote me a generic RX that was practically worthless with the provided DME that was covered by my old policy.

The new monthly order includes:
*DAYTIME* Dry Care Products: ConfiDry 24/7: 1 Case of 72 ct. (4 Packs 18 ct. - Size Large)

*NIGHTTIME* Beyond XP5000 - Plastic Backed Overnight Brief: Case of 46 ct. (4 Packs 14 ct. - Size Medium)

*DAY & NIGHT DIAPER STUFFER/BOOSTER* Abena Boost Maxi / Abri-Let Booster Pads 6' x 22' (Case of 120)

I'm really glad I upgraded my policy before the New Year.
