I just had an interesting experience with the Walmart cashier...I was checking out and the young lady (25-30ish) asked how I was doing and I said good, just restocking. I had a bag of pads and depend pull-ups. She looked at me and curiously asked how long that restock would last..I just off the top of my head said a month. She smiled and told me hers only lasted a week...😳
I thought about it and just smiled with someone sharing that with me. Only at Walmart.
 
No, it is an A.M. Crystal Radio a receiver only and with the combination of the variable inductor and the variable capacitor it should be fairly broadband the knife switch is going to be used to use the variable capacitor or to bypass the variable capacitor and just use the tuning rod on the inductor a crystal radio is one of the most basic types of radios it does not require a power source it actually is powered by the radio waves that it is receiving it typically uses a piece of Galena and a cats whisker to tune the radio the one that I am building will utilize a germanium diode in place of the Galena and cats whisker as I said the radio requires no power source

God i love strange hobbies! Im a klutz. I love to knit but only something like a baby blanket or an adult lap blanket. I dont think i do anything skilled no certainly not anything involving technology new or old.
 
it sounds like you enjoy it I have been playing with electronics since I was 12 years old I have been a licensed amateur radio operator for over 30 years

well my next monthly shipment and arrived today and in the shipment was 16 bags of Abena L4 NO MORE OF THE CRAPPY ATTENDS
 
true but there is a big difference in quality and absorbency I can be out and about with a lot fewer worries about leakage

@Maymay941 yes it is those Attends have no leak guards were very thin and even though the had the second chance tapes the tapes were constantly failing had to use duct tape most of the time
