Dang doctors. Rant.

Nothing like the doctors office waiting until 8:30pm to call you and cancel an appointment you had to fight to get. I have been in pain, had an infection my leg as well as needing paperwork fixed

Now I might have to go to the hospital to get this crap figured out.

So freaking mad.

What kind of a doctor is open until 8:30pm? This reminds me of when COVID occured - and my urologist appointment was cancelled due to the pandemic. I was so frustrated, upset at the world; all because I couldn't hold my bladder in and make it to the bathroom on time because of the nature of the job. To top it all off; I was suffering from PTSD due to repressed trauma that I didn't want to deal with. It was like an all in one; and I felt at war with my body.

Losing control of my bladder really did a number on me as it was mass hysteria anyway with the pandemic.

But don't fret man; I would recommend tomorrow morning; calling your doctor/specialist and talking to the nurse and see if they can reschedule or honor your original appointment due to the pain you are suffering. You shouldn't have to deal with pain while you are waiting to be seen.

Don't feel your alone; because we've all been there man. I will pray that they do the right thing. 🙏

Blessings,
HC

@Honeeecombs It was just a schedule person telling me it was cancelled.

I'm going to call in the morning and figure something out or I will be going to the ER/ED.

Nothing else I can do about it.

Do call the doctors office and try to get an immediate rescheduling and explain the pain you're having and just ask point-blank, "what would you do if you were in my situation?"
Just add that you have been counting on having this appointment so you can begin to clear things up and try to get in as soon as humanly possible.
Wishing you luck so you can get in to see your doctor without any further delay. We're pulling for you!!

@billliveshere

I am. It is just bonkers because or ER/ED is a mess with covid people. But I cannot keep living like this. Even since the Boxot wore off I have been getting worse and worse. Like I have to fight just to pass gas and it hurts and causes spasms to do that.

Now I have nothing set up this year at all. Truly, I was hoping they were calling to set up the trial for the Axonics sacral neuromodulation but nope.

So yea. I may end up going to the ER. My mom told me to go to the smaller one I went to last time because they were not as bad but I don't know.

Hi @ThatFLGuy, If you're not better by this morning, it may be time to go to the ER. That's your first priority today is to take care of the pain you're experiencing.
And if you do go to the ER, try for the smaller one where you went last time and find out if your mom can take you there.
Or if you can, call up the ER, explain what you're feeling like and ask them what the wait time is. If they give you a run-around just ask firmly but politely to talk to the charge nurse.
Once you get seen today and when you come home, call the doctor again and ask about the trial for the Axonics sacral neuromodulation and tell them that you are counting on getting this set up just as soon as possible.
Other than that, just keep on pushing until you get a satisfactory answer. And I hope things go really well and smoothly for you today, or even better than anticipated!
