Cup half full, life is good.

A cup in may cases is never half full. There are exceptions, in zero atmosphere maybe. The other half is atmosphere (air + suspended particles + pollutants).

Metaphorically, yeah, well that's different, I like to think the other half are experiences yet to be experienced.
