Bad Night in my diaper.

So I’ve been wearing tab diapers to bed every night for 4 months now. I knew I had OAB long before I had started wearing diapers nightly. The reason I started wearing was due to wearing a CPAP and being in deep sleep and started bedwetting. I have a fairly new bed and it was expensive so I told my wife I was going to wear diapers till this passes. I’m on medication now for OAB and it’s working. However I still set the bed. Most nights are a lite wetting to no wetting but the last two nights I have soaked my diapers!!!! On Tuesday it was almost to the point I was leaking so last night I put in a booster pad and plastic pants on. I never woke up all night and I soaked my diaper again. I wear CONFI-DRY 24/7 diapers with a booster pad sometimes. Since I’m fairly new to wearing diapers and have only tired a few brands these seem to work well for me and they are comfortable so to say. Does anyone here have this same issue where they sometimes wet or wet lightly or soak on occasion. I really don’t want to be in diapers the rest of my life because I’m only 45 years old. My only health issues I have is slightly high blood pressure and I’m a little over weight. My blood sugars are normal, just had a blood work done. I wonder if ifs become physiological and my brain knows I have diapers on and i just wet. Sometimes I wake up when I wet and sometimes i don’t.

One thing you can do is keep a diary of what you eat and drink, including how much and when. That will let you see any patterns, both with the OAB and the bedwetting.

You don'want to get dehydrated, which will tend to make your OAB worse, but you can try rehydrating earlier in the day. For me, if I drink more than about 12 oz. within 4 hours of bedtime, I end up waking up to pee at least two extra times in the night, but I can drink much more than that earlier in the evening and not have a problem.

If you're getting into deeper sleep for longer than your body's been used to, it may explain the bedwetting. It's still something you should discuss with your doctor. It's embarrassing to bring up, but it's also very important to make sure that it's not due to something else wrong.
