Bad diaper rash

I have a bad diaper rash. I’ve had a lot of accidents lately. I think all the changing and just constant moisture has caused my rash to become super inflamed. The rash is pretty much covering the whole diaper area. I try not to itch, but I’m struggling with it. My IBS hasn’t helped anything either. Any suggestions?

I will second what people are saying and also add that cloth diapers require a different approach when it comes to laundry. I am almost 40 and was born in cloth diapers. I also had them when I was only a bed-wetter years ago.

I followed the rinse, wash, rinse cycle. You have to get all the laundry detergent out of the diaper, or it will cause chemical burns.

Also, do not use dryer sheets.

I even do the rinse, wash, and rinse on my pul diaper covers.

I am so thankful!!! Overnight I soak a diaper “every” night. I shower in the morning and put on a fresh diaper. I start getting wet again soon after that so as close as I can tell I’m in a wet diaper 90% of the time. I never have any negative skin reactions, at all. The only irritations I ever have is from some of the elastics on my plastic pants, but not from being wet. I count my blessings.
