Hi Clayton. I'm sorry you're having issues with the cloth diapers. Can you talk to your grandmother about switching you to a disposable diaper with tape tabs? Disposable tape on diapers tend to be more absorbent than pull-ups for managing bedwetting. Better Dry makes a disposable diaper with tape tabs that is highly rated by many people. You can purchase them at L.L. Medico, XP Medical, North Shore Care, as well as other places.Hey, my grandmother currently has me using cloth style diapers for my bed wedding. I’m a teenager and I’ve used them now for several weeks and I do not like them at all. They always smell even if you clean them. They’re super bulky. I know they save money, but if it’s not a price thing, I would try and use anything else but these.
I fully agree Clayton, disposable are better. Northshore have sample packs - so you don’t have to buy a large quantity until you have found your product and size. I think their customer care followed the old forum and came with some advices from time to time. Anyway - they have very helpful customer care.Hi Clayton. Some people have suggested those diapers before. I’ve tried the diapers and pull-ups from North Shore. Those are for sure. The best to use! My grandmother just can’t afford to use them. I used to use the goodnites and those were always my favorite. My grandma recently said she wanted to switch to the cloth diapers to help save money. Which I understand, but I just don’t like them at all the reasons listed above.Hi Clayton,
In addition to the Better Dry diapers there are other disposable tape on diapers available for bedwetting including the Beyond XP 5000, the North Shore Megamax, the Be Dry nighttime diaper sold by InControl Diapers, the Trest Elite briefs, as well as others. I would talk to your grandmother and ask her to purchase one of those brands. It's also a good idea to cover the bed with a rubber or plastic sheet in case your diaper leaks. I use the Dry Defender waterproof underpad with tuck in flaps. I purchased it from the Protective Bedding store. Please keep us posted on how things turn out.

Hi Clayton,
I wear the gauze prefold style nighttime pin-on cloth diapers with two gauze diaper liners from Adultclothdiaper.com. I also wear the pull-on style Leakmaster Deluxe 7 gauge plastic pants with enclosed elastic (also from Adultclothdiaper.com) and the Euroflex pull-on style plastic pants with enclosed elastic from L.L. Medico. I will admit the diapers are bulky and bulge a lot but they do a great job keeping my bed dry. Do you use the pin-on style prefold cloth diapers? These are the best for managing bedwetting. I realize it's no fun wearing them but I suggest you give them a chance. I think you'll get used to them over time.In some cases wearing thick diapers to bed can cause chafing. If that's the case with you you might consider putting on a layer of diaper rash ointment to the diaper area before putting your diapers on. Grandma El's makes a diaper rash ointment which is safe to use on cloth diapers (some ointments can cause diapers to lose their absorbency over time). You can get Grandma El's from Amazon, Adultclothdiaper.com, as well as other places. Your grandmother is right - you do save money in the long run. As far as the smell is concerned I use the Allen's Naturally liquid laundry and diaper detergent and don't have any problems with smell. They also have a product called "Stink Out" but you may find you don't even need that. I suggest just trying the detergent at first, The url is www.allensnaturally.com. Another option is to wear disposable tape-on diapers on some nights of the week and the pin-ons on other nights, that way you're not wearing as many disposables which saves you money. I suggest discussing this option with your grandmother. As mentioned, disposable diapers with tape tabs tend to be better than pull-ups for managing heavier forms of incontinence such as bedwetting. Good luck.
Honestly don’t know what parents are using today for bedwetters. I was always diapered in pin on cloth diapers with plastic pants. I have used them ever since. I use quality disposables during the day but have tried but don’t have any luck with disposables overnight. I generally end up on my side and disposables even with doublers leak badly overnight for me. Thick cloth is bulky but I only sleep in them and have been used to them and it’s not a problem.Hi everybody,
I have another question about prefold style pin-on cloth diapers and plastic pants for bedwetting. I was wondering if any parents here currently use pin-on prefold style cloth diapers and plastic pants on their bedwetting child or teen.
