I recently learned that my brother-in-law suffered from nocturia, getting up to pee more than two times per night. He also had the urgency to pee while he was traveling via car or RV, especially when he would stop for any reason, he would have to urgently pee when he got out of his driver's seat. I have both of those issues but need to pee four or five times per night not three.
He tried doing Kegels while in bed and below is what he wrote to me. Maybe this will have value to someone in this forum.
"The Kagel exercises I started gradually, and got to the point where I do them most days before I get out of bed in the morning. After starting slowly, I ended up after four months or so settling on a routine that is different than most Youtube videos recommend. I do the Kagel exercise on my back in bed while I count to 45. Then I take time to completely relax the pelvic floor muscles for maybe 30 seconds. I repeat that four times. Finally, I do one last long Kagel where I count to 100."
I'm going to try doing Kegels in bed to see if it is more effective than my previous efforts.
