Sporadic wetting

Thanks,my specialist that operated on me is supposed to phone me near the end od the mont so I'll ask him about it,take care

Question for you all

Do any of you wet the bed due to stress or anxiety? I was assaulted a year and a half ago while on the road for work. Since then I’ve developed PTSD. I’ve been doing all the things. But I had wet the bed not too long after the assault. Which caused me to wake up every hour after that because each night I was scared I was going to wet the bed.

Finally recently. Started wearing really good(no way they will leak) adult briefs. I sleep amazing but now wet the bed almost every night. Or at least on the nights with nightmares or wake up in a panic.

I’m fine using briefs. Just wondered if others experienced something similar to this

What kind of briefs are you using? pull-up types or tape-on diaper type? Just curious, since most disposable briefs I've used usually leak on me for night time...

But more to your question.. Yes, I've heard from several people that they started wetting more at night, after they started wearing briefs / diapers at night. Perhaps they fall into a deeper sleep, knowing that they are protected from waking up in a puddle.

Myself, my bedwetting increased over several years from a couple times a year, to 3 or 4 times a month. At that point, I started wearing diapers at night, just to save on laundry of sheets and blankets. Since I went back to diapers over a year ago, my bedwetting is now almost every night. But the question; did it increase BECAUSE I started wearing diapers, OR would it have increased anyway??? Since I have also developed urge incontinence, which requires daytime diapers, I think it was just the natural progression of things.

I think the question for you is how important is a good night's rest? You said you were waking up every hour BEFORE you started wearing briefs - now you're sleeping good, wearing briefs. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Of course, you might want to check with your doctor to see if anything else is going on. That's what I did last year. After seeing 5 doctors, and having a bunch of (expensive) tests done, they more or less said it was due to genetics and family history. So I just "Diaper-Up" and get on with life.

I think you are right. I think my body can relax knowing I won’t wake up in a puddle.

I saw a urologist/OBGYN and as far as the urology part I’m good. Have a second surgery coming for the injuries sustained in the other area.

But gosh your response makes me feel better. Especially the “diaper up” comment. I went months getting little to know sleep because of it.

I’ve tried all kinds of pull ups which I don’t know how anyone can sleep in those without leaking. Tried a bunch of actual tab or adult diapers/briefs and had issues with leaking. Last night I tried a better dry and slept amazing. I have an order coming this week of a brand called REARZ? Reviews said they work great! Hope they do so I can get a good nights rest
