We that figures. Doctors canceling

Well. Checked my voice mail and my surgery doctor canceled the appointment I have with him in December. Sucks because I plained that appointment the same day as another one I have in the same building.

It also sucks because that appointment was to plain out what comes next.

I have to call in the morning and try to set it up sooner. The big thing is that it is either pain surgery or re-due the botox. I don't what the surgery doctor is going to recommend at this point but I know that I want to do what needs to be done to improve life quality.

My big question here is what to do.

The botox took away the spasms in my bowel but not my stomach or my bladder. (A fun fact my urologist did nothing for me in the three visits I had with her so)

I am open to what the doctors think I should try but I got to be able to see them.

Yea that voice mail was not what I needed.

I don't even care to see the other doctor that I had an appointment with on that same day. I only set it up that way because I had to be there for my hepatologist appointment which I don't care about at this point unless he thinks that something else can be done about the right side pain but I don't have any hopes for that so.

Yea. Not a good voice mail. I just hope I can get in sooner.

No, it wasn't a good voice mail and I wonder why the doctor canceled because obviously the voice mail didn't get into that. And getting something like that is very disconcerting because now you feel like they have left you holding the bag.
I'd feel like "If you can't see me for the December appointment, then when?????" Big question there of course!!!
If it were me, I'd try to call the office back and ask them "well since you cancelled then what options do you suggest I pursue? I feel like I'm kind of left dangling here and I'd like a better idea of what's going on."
And then try to push for an earlier appointment since they aren't going to honor the original appointment.
I hope you get a definitive answer soon, if not today, so you'll know how to plan for it.

I suggest you also tell reception of doctors that DEBILITATING 24 hour PAIN is why you urgent ly need the appointment

I'm so sorry.

@FLaguy-soory for your issues, I have some same crap with worksmen comp. I jsut care about my quality of life. They are trying to dump me and I may be close to it. I realy don't like them at all. The whole systm is corrupted big time. I am so gald I went though medicare and got my arm fix. Jsut need to work on my knee and neck. They will be dumping me on my knee soon. He said yesterday that my knee was not that bad anymore. I am going to start walking with it. I finally got a decent brace for it two days ago to support it while I walk. It is a torn menicus on one side. My neck is bad between C5 and C6 which the government has denied any wrong doing-saying I didn't complain soon enough. They are saying I fell again and injuried it which I did not. I should take a lie dectative test to see on some of this stuff. Be there as best you can-write aletter if you can to the state. I called them when the nurse/therapy refused to come into the house when worksmen comp therapy came for my knee. They found them in vilation. When I saw the surgeon I showed him the letter. IF I was him, I would have been pissed. They did follow his orders. I showed it to my Doctor as well so they don't use them anymore. They are bad news. When I talked t the office they say they never came across this situation before. Where worksmen's comp denied the surgery. I went though medicare because I wanted my own doctor to do it, not them. He was a specailist in shoudler surgery. Talk later-Barb Blessings-stay well-remember all this is temporary-it is not eternal. Put up the good fight. I sold my rental unit and they guy is taking it over the end of the month. Less work for me and less opporuntity hurting my knee and neck.

Okay so it turns out it was not my surgery doctor that cancelled. It was my hepatologist. Still not happy about it because I can't take anything for pain until he says my level has come down enough but it's not going to effect plans moving forward. I am going to call my patient advocate on Monday because it didn't seem like they wanted to let me reschedule that appointment anytime soon on the app.

FLGuy: Nuts, I hate that too. Twice, I drove 180 miles to get told the appointment was canceled. Once was for 2 emergency operations, and I kinda understood.
Can we charge them the "missed appointment" fees?
