Urologists and patient dignity

@ltapilot I do understand my friend, everything you just said I can relate too. One time I had 4 nurses in the room with me, and one of them I knew saw me looking and she walked over to me, and said don't worry I will get them out of here and then get you into bed. What a good sport we have become! Nice to see you.

docs stay in business by maximizing reimbursement for every minute spent in patient care. they need to churn patients quickly through procedures. every health care worker you encounter is staggering under a load of education debt. it's just common courtesy to receive your treatment, pay promptly and move on.

education debt is a choice and not an excuse for medical people to be rude or rushing people out of a room or making people wait.

if you can afford concierge care and never be rushed more power to ya. medicine is a for profit business. talk to the office manager. hope you get heard. I get amazing respectful care from my PA at county medicare clinic.

@itapilot On the other hand don’t be ashamed for not speaking up either. Sometimes it doesn’t seem worth it to burn a bridge with a medical professional (especially in a small community like urology).

Gotta pick your battles for the REALLy dangerous things.

I keep sticking my two cents in here!!
But
I do think there's a balance between stating ones needs and being rude. Polite and clear but firm should do it.

At first it was very embarrassing for me to go to the doctor when I had to wear diapers. Most if not all of them very good and understanding of the situation. It still isn’t easy for me especially if it a female tech in the room but thy have all been very professional and supportive of privacy when getting Dressed and undressed
