Things I learned on vacation trip

Pack extra bottom clothes to change if I leak.
Don't drink coffee or half a cup is less triggering than home brew. The weak stuff in room is fairly safe it's mostly nasty hot water!
Bring cheap wash clothes the small squares to thoroughly wash and wipe nether part after using small low builder grade toilets.
Pack trash and ziplock bags for disposal of wash clothes and protection underwear
Bring the wet floor wipes to wipe down the floor in toilet as needed in hotel.

Bring disposable bed pad protection

Bring laundry pods to wash out underwear or crotch of pants.

For women the funnel like female travel urinal is a huge help to pee accurately into the toilet bu stand and face toilet to pee

Very good advices. I have mixed emotions with coffee, some morning coffee get my stomach going and sometimes spare me of painful accidents later. But it is also a trigger - so it is kind of a Russian roulette… Extra trousers or bottoms - duplicates if possible - is very nice, and ziplock bags are wonderful. You don’t want to end up with an accident without the stuff needed to clean-up, dispose of and get on with your life as best you can.
For me bowel incontinence is even worse than my occasional bedwetting and daytime urgency. Being unprepared for what might happen, is much worse than having the logistics all right.
Sometimes I check with hotels - if they have proper mattress protection when traveling. At least when flying it is good to save weight and space - enough to carry anyway.

I have used baby wipes and poured the hand alcohol in the package to use to clean up surface - floors, toilet seats, and countertops.

Thank you for the great packing tips. I hope to plan a road trip in the fall.

I think the thing that was most concerned about it the smell Ina shared living area. Two beds in a room and one toilet.

The wife and I just went to Europe and we were able to fit all the needed supplies in an extra suitcase (British Airways allowed an extra luggage at no cost due to medical supplies). The secret was using those vacuum bags that are made for traveling because they work great for reducing the amount of room diapers take up.
The only issue was Heathrow (Terminal 5) were rude when I went through the scanner, that's a story in itself!

In regards to what we bring: 1 roll of small trash bags, Costco odorless wet wipes, Axe spray, Calmoseptine ointment and obviously enough briefs. Odor really isn't an issue thanks to Nullo tablets, they work great.
We did have to purchase more ointment and they have something called "La Pasta Alta Protezione" that worked great but...be careful because my wife went to brush her teeth and accidentally used that because it looks identical to toothpaste!!!

Hope that helps.

Here's another lesson for travelers. Don't forget to bring your reading glasses so you can see whether or not that tube of toothpaste is actually "La Pasta Alta Protezione!"
Your dentist may NOT be inclined to recommend that "Pasta" for your teeth!☺

I don't know the pasta product but will hunt up Nullo!

I think alot of us are concerned about the impact of our condition on those around us and want to minimize unpleasant aspects to others

I agree wholeheartedly!
Although I've never used Nullo, I don't think it can be confused with a tube of toothpaste or with ointment. So I think we're safe on that score!!

Here's a picture I took that shows how similar they look, lol!

CES97 Reminds me of the time I slathered hair shampoo on my face in the pitch dark thinking it was lotion for skin.

Reading glasses go along in your travel kit for sure!!! These have the same colors, same shape, but the only difference is the size. Further caveat: before use make sure the lights are turned on!!!

What does La Pasta actually do?

@billliveshere I’m surprised to see you posting again! Glad you’re still around occasionally.

Hi @snow, School is out now and the field trips are pretty much done. There will be trips for us to make to the summer programs at various schools on Thursdays in June and July and an occasional trip made by a group to some see us during the summer.
So I'll probably be around here and there!
