Successful day out with friends

I ventured into Maryland today to meet up with friends for food and to hit a few shops. I was in my wheelchair which always proves for an interesting day. I wore black MegaMax all day and they were AWESOME. Not one leak. And the times I needed to change the bathrooms were accessible. I just hate that I take so long but my friends are used to it. Tomorrow is gonna be a huge rest day. Its 7:30pm and I’m on my way home. I’ve been out since 11. I’m beat!

Good for you for getting out! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You are so lucky you have friends like that. I don’t have any friends in Utah, but I do have a lot in Southern California, where I’m probably returning soon, though then I’ll miss my parents and the snow of UT.

I just go out alone! But it’s hell at a time like now when I have a broken foot, live alone, and don’t have friends. It takes me 2 1/2 hours to shower and about 20 minutes to go pee. I hate it. I’m so over it already and I still have a couple of months more of it.

@snow yea I remember my broken ankle well! Thought I had it all figured out when they chopped my leg off but I guess not. Lol. Now I have to manage changing a diaper standing on one foot. I just prop my chopped leg on the wheelchair and balance on my left leg and pray to something I don’t fall over!! It’s a sight to see I’m sure. I haven’t fallen yet knock on wood. I don’t get to see my friends often maybe once every two months. And I don’t really leave the house except to sit on the porch. It’s such a pain in the ass to drag my wheelchair out and manuver if around. I get all my groceries delivered. Perks of living in a city.
