Saw my main GI doctor.

So I ended up going to the hospital to try to get seen by my GI doctor I told the receptionist it was there or down to the ER. I ended up getting seen by the doctor who did my colonoscopy in June. She is the supervisory GI doctor so she fit me in, She was not even there for patients today but knowing my case she took me. She did a exam and said that she feels like I am backed up again. We went over what has been going on and went through all the stuff done since I started being seen for this by their hospital network. She ordered an x-ray and I am home now waiting for the results. Big thing is that she said that They may have to give me proscription laxitives to take but.... She is very worried that it will make my incontinence issue worse. The thing is that the constipation is a danger for me so it's drugs to make me go and then dealing with the incontinence. Another big thing is that she feels like I am one of the cases where after surgery I will not be able to go by myself again and may be dealing with the incontinence side of it for good. She is pushing so of the test forward as well. They just started doing the anal momography test again and there are 60 people waiting for it but she said that I could get in at the place she normally is at quicker so if my other GI doctor can't do it soon ( there back long has me waiting tell September) then she will fit me in sooner and take over my care until they rule out things. Big thing is that I am still in pain, not going to the bathroom and I will have to wait until they schedule the next thing. Last thing is if they can't get it worked out by the end of this month then she is going to help me get a disability claim in for social security disability. Not what I want but good to know that I have an advocate.

I can't believe you are waiting for an x-ray when they see the results right on the screen within a minute, with the new technology. They do wait for the who-ever-it-is that "reads" the x-ray before it goes to the doctor, but!
So discouraging to even read this and I can't imagine what it is like for you. Please know you have our best wishes & support, and please hang in there, demanding answers.

Yep and still waiting. That is the nature of the hospital system that I am dealing with... AlasSouth... Try this one. I cannot call my doctor, their office or their nurses station directly. I have to call a call center and wait for them to forward a message to the doctor. Like the Call center cannot even call the doctor, their office, staff or anything. Everything is done through a messenger app but when I try to message my doctor it get sent to a nurse first and then has to be sent to my doctor. I told my doctor I have never dealt with a more messed up system and I am crapping my pants due to how messed up my system is. I am forced to drive 53 minutes away to my doctor and make them see me with by telling them that I will go to the ER again if need be.. SO stupid. Like every exam room has a phone. The nurses station has a phone, the doctors office has a phone, but no one is allowed to have that number. Crazy. Like, So why have phones then???

Best wishes for you as you deal with all of this. I am so grateful that your doctor is advocating for you in many ways.

Keep working with that lady GI doctor. Seems like she really wants to help. And if she can squeeze you in for anal momography early, then take her up on it! It's like I've said before, just be firm but polite. Wishing you more good luck!
