I have been dealing with the curse for a long time. With that, I have found what works and what doesn't.
That being said, everyone has a bad day once in a blue moon where you will wish you had something with you that you do not have.
I always have my backpack with me and as I have an ostomy I keep supplies for that with me too.
The one big thing in my bag that could help everyone is one of these Dry bags(Linked below). They are designed to keep things dry when camping or on the water but what I found is that they keep things from getting wet when you put wet things in them. I keep my change of clothing in mine and because it is also a stuff sack it takes up almost no room in my bag. As a bonus I do not have to carry it with me when I am out with people that care about me because I can always ask someone to go grab that bag. You could even keep a whole kit in one and they come in different sizes. I have a bigger one than a link that I have had for years that I put camera gear in when I would go hunting. I found out how well they keep wet stuff in when I got stuck in the rain once.
